Charcoal has proved an effective means for filtering gas and vapour air pollution.
Charcoal is used in climate and ventilation equipment installations for cleaning inlet air and circulating air. The grit size of the coal is between 0.6 and 6.3 mm. Grit size for powder coal is < 0.075 mm. Charcoal is made of organic substance, such as turf, nutshell, sugar, bituminous coal by heating and additional treatment with purpose of increasing the inner and surface area as much as possible.
Thanks to the formation of super-narrow pores and capillary systems the size of the absorptive surface area is up to 1,700 m2 by one gram of charcoal. For removing specific harmful substances from charcoal, it is impregnated in special substances.
The temperature of the air flow should not exceed 500C, because at that temperature desorption will take place. Charcoal is receptive to dust and therefore a dust filter should be kept in front of the coal filter.

Execution:
Cartridge shell: galvanised sheet steel, stainless steel, artificial material/ plastic, cartridge hollows are refillable.
Cartridges with plastic hollows can be burned completely if used in non-problematic areas.
Cartridge filling: raw coal
All cartridges have bayonet locks that enable to change the cartridge using /push and turn/ method.

Contact time:
Should be between 0.1 and 0.2 seconds from usage area.
To guarantee that contact time is not under 0.1 seconds, air flow for one filter with 16 cartridges should not be bigger than 2000m3/h,
