Personal protective equipment

The impurities that gather into the air filters of ventilation systems are harmful to human health. This is why the filters should be changed at least 1-2 times a year.
Maintenance and changing intervals of filters depend on the location of the ventilation aggregate and the peculiarities of the treated air.

The maintenance norms and practices of more widespread systems are the following:
  • Pre-filters – The filter must be changed when differential pressure aka filter obstruction is 100 Pa or bigger (depending on material)
  • Bag filters – to be changed when filter obstruction is 200 Pa or bigger.
  • Compact broad surface filters – to be changed when filter obstruction is 400 Pa or bigger.
  • Charcoal filters – maximum usage period 12 months.
  • HEPA filters – depending on usage intensity, maximum usage period 24 months (if pre- and precision cleaning filters have been changed regularly.

Changing filters:
The following personal protective equipment is recommended while changing the filters:
  • Protection for bronchial tubes – dust mask.
  • Gloves
  • Protective clothing
  • Additionally an airproof dust bag must be acquired for used filters.
Before start:
  • The ventilation appliance must be switched off.
  • Remove the old filter carefully from the appliance.
  • Pack the old filter into an airproof bag, seal carefully and take to a waste dump.
Used air filters can not be taken openly through a building, be left behind or discarded without proper packaging!

For better protection of your health we offer you different personal protective equipment.

There are dust masks, gloves, single-use anti-exposure suits, etc available.
